A Louisiana institution, Hubig’s pies, announced today they plan to relaunch production in 2020. The famous fruit pies have been unavailable since a fire destroyed their New Orleans building. Hubig’s says they will build a one-point-three million dollar facility in Jefferson Parish.
On his monthly radio show, Governor Edwards said President Trump was out of bounds when he tweeted that four congresswomen of color should go back to where they came from. Louisiana’s U-S Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy have filed legislation to extend and reform the National Flood Insurance Program. Cassidy says one of the provisions would allow FEMA to offer low interest flood mitigation loans to homeowners who raise their home and the loan would pay for itself…
