State Senator Troy Carter, the second person to announce their run for Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District, receives an endorsement from Congressman Cedric Richmond. Political Analyst Clancy Dubos says Richmond’s backing to fill his seat is significant.

Quarterback Drew Brees 20-year Pro Football Hall of Fame career most likely ended last night with Tampa Bay’s 30-20 win over the Saints. Brees has been contemplating retirement after the last couple of seasons and once again plans to think it over again.
