The American Academy of Pediatrics revises its guidelines for the treatment of childhood obesity. Dr. Amanda Staiano with LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Center says children and adolescents should be offered intensive treatment and once they are teenagers many are eligible for medication and weight loss surgery.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is stocking 17 sites across the state with adult-size Rainbow Trout for their Get Out & Fish Program.
