A New Orleans area youth basketball coach is heard on tape demanding money from LSU, on behalf of his friend Gloria Scott, who accused former LSU star Derius Guice of sexual harassment when she worked as a security guard at the Superdome in 2017. Advocate reporter Andrea Gallo has covered this story extensively and she says payment requests are not unusual in sexual misconduct cases…

Scott admits she asked for Cleavon Williams’ help but never asked him to seek compensation from LSU.

Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport is one of 120 sites nationwide that will participate in a clinical trial for Regeneron’s COVID treatment. Dr. Joseph Bocchini says they want to enroll enough people to study the effects on pregnant women and children, but with COVID numbers declining it will be a challenge.

Houma Senator Michael Fesi files legislation requiring parental consent for a minor seeking gender therapy which includes psychotherapy along with surgical and nonsurgical procedures for gender identity. President of Louisiana Trans Advocates Dylan Waguespack says this sets a dangerous precedent, especially for transgender and gender non-conforming minors without affirming parents.

Fesi says several constituents have come to him concerned about their children having the ability to change their gender without parental consent.

Waguespack is asking Senator Fesi to withdraw the bill and meet with the young people he is targeting.
