Enjoy the mild weather today, because a strong cold front moves through the state tomorrow, dropping our temperatures significantly. When we wake up Monday morning, temperatures will be in the upper 30s in the northern parishes and in the 40s closer to the coast. And Chanelle Stigger, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service out of Lake Charles, says temperatures will stay cool all day long.

Stigger says several areas will see below freezing temperatures tomorrow.

Louisiana is outpacing the national average three times over when it comes to V-A benefits growth. From fiscal year 2023 to fiscal 2024, there was a six-percent increase in the number of veterans accessing critical support programs, tripling the national average of two-percent. Louisiana V-A Secretary Charlton Meginley says more than 82-thousand veterans receive more than two-billion dollars in V-A compensation.

According to a story in the Advocate Newspaper, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has signed an agreement with a developer for the construction of two large scale solar farms. One of the sites is in Morehouse Parish and the other is in Sabine Parish. It’s tied to the tech giant’s massive data center in Richland Parish.
