Public school enrollment has fallen to its lowest level in two decades. Based on the latest data from the state department of education, there are just under 677-thousand students who attend public schools in Louisiana. Nearly 90-percent of school districts have fewer students this year than last. An increase in home schooling and a decline in the state’s overall population are the major reasons for a drop-in public-school students.
Entergy Louisiana says it will invest in modern, efficient generation facilities and new transmission infrastructure to support the 10-billion dollar data center that Meta is building in Richland Parish. Entergy Louisiana President Phillip May says Entergy plans to build three advanced generation units which will create thousands of construction jobs…
