Today at noon, Republican Jeff Landry officially becomes the 57th governor of Louisiana. Landry moved his inauguration ceremony up a day to avoid today’s expected bad weather and talked about making real changes as his administration will work with a Legislature that’s mostly Republican….

Landry says his administration will respond to what he calls senseless, uncivilized and outrageous violent crime. He also wants to get unsuitable subject matter out of public schools and have parents in control of a child’s education….

Landry also says when it comes to an environmental policy, they’ll look at all of the science, not just spoon fed facts from those seeking profit.

A new Louisiana Legislature is being sworn in at this hour.
