A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association says since abortion clinics closed permanently, there’s been a 170-percent increase in online purchases for overseas abortion polls from Louisiana addresses. During the 2022 legislative session, a bill was passed making it illegal to order such medications in Louisiana, but New Orleans Representative Aimee Freeman voted against it because there’s no way to enforce it.

Bishop Dee Williamston has been elected as the new bishop of the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. Williamston will be the first African American bishop to lead the Louisiana Conference. She served 22 years in the Kansas Army National Guard. She said the training was tough.

The seismograph on LSU’s campus registered the ground shanking when Jayden Daniels scored a touchdown in overtime and then three minutes later when the Tigers converted the winning two-point conversion. A small earthquake was also reported in April during country music star Garth Brooks’ performance in Tiger Stadium and in 1988 when LSU upset Auburn.
