A 22-year-old Metairie man is under arrest following a killing spree of four randomly selected victims.  Sean Barrette became the suspect in crimes after a forensic analysis was performed on his phone after leaving it at a crime scene.  Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto says it’s rare that a murder suspect does not have a previous connection to the victim.

An Amite High School athlete is dead following a Tuesday football practice.  The Amite Police Department received a call about an emergency at the school around 9 pm.  Upon arrival, other first responders were on the scene performing CPR to 15-year-old Terrance Allen.  Louisiana High School Athletic Association spokesperson Kate Adams offered a brief statement on the issue.
