The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for 49-year-old Michael Vallery, who is wanted for stabbing and killing his wife Stefanie Vallery, 51, and injuring two of her relatives around 8 o’clock last night. The incident happened at the wife’s home. The two were separated at the time of the incident. Deputies urge anyone who sees Vallery to not approach him and to immediately call 911.
Work continues during the lame duck session of Congress on approving a new Farm Bill, but work requirements for food stamp recipients continue to be a major stumbling block. Republican Representative Ralph Abraham from Richland Parish is pushing for work or educational requirements for able-bodied adults, but Democrats want to completely rewrite the bill.

Abraham is hopeful a new farm bill can be passed before Congress adjourns for 2018.
Les Miles is back as a college football coach. The “Mad Hatter” has a five-year deal with the Kansas Jayhawks that will pay the 65-year-old two-point-seven million dollars a year. Miles says he’s been wanting to coach again, ever since his firing from LSU in September of 2016
