The eight-game losing streak to Alabama is over. The Fighting Tigers went into Tuscaloosa on Saturday and beat the Crimson Tide 46-41.  Quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 393 yards and three touchdowns and he’s now the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy. Ruston receives a 17-million dollar federal transportation grant to transform the city’s connection with Louisiana Tech. Mayor Ronny Walker says they aren’t sure when they’re going to get the money, but once it is received, it should take about three years before the project is complete.

He says Rispone must appeal to his base of rural conservatives and Trump supporters and he needs the support of his former opponent.

Veterans Day honors military service members across the nation today. The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs will be a part of 42 different events to help celebrate those who have served.
