Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party Karen Carter Peterson has admitted to a gambling problem after she received a misdemeanor citation last month at the L’auberge Casino Resort in Baton Rouge. Peterson stated “It is a disease. From time to time I have relapsed”. Peterson was issued the citation because she violated a Self-Inclusion Program to address gambling issues offered by Louisiana State Police.

The Bayou State will host the SEC gymnastics championships on Saturday for the first time since 1998. Two sessions of competition will take place at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday at 3 PM. The Tigers are the number one seed and the defending SEC meet champions.
