According to a Fox News poll, in a Senate primary Senator Mary Landrieu showed 31% support, Republican Bill Cassidy has 35% and tea-party favorite Rob Maness has 7%. ULM Political Science professor Joshua Stockley is skeptical about those numbers. For one he says those numbers would mean that Maness is taking votes away from Landrieu which is highly unlikely…:

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office says a 27-year-old woman from Washington is now arrested with two counts of the attempted first degree murder of her parents. They say Jamie Kristen Fontenot allegedly shot her father who is in critical condition, and mother who was treated and released from the hospital. Deputies report finding the suspect sitting calming on the porch with a gun following the shooting which remains under investigation.
