A 10-month-old Pleasant Hill girl is hostpitalized after spending up to three days trapped under her father’s dead body. They say little Betty Jean Fields was found dehydrated and with blistering skin. Sabine Parish Officials believe the child’s father, 43-year-old Jason Fields, who had a history of cardiac problems, fell backward on his bed and died instantly, falling on top of his daughter. The child is expected to make a full recovery.
The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office plans to file for a temporary restraining order this morning to stop the disposal of a Dallas Ebola victim’s incinerated personal belongings in a Louisiana landfill. It’s reported that six truckloads of potential Ebola contaminated material collected from Thomas Duncan’s apartment were incinerated Friday and scheduled to be transported to a Calcasieu Parish hazardous waste landfill for final disposal.
