Four fraternities at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have been suspended in the wake of LSU Phi Delta Theta fraternity pledge Maxwell Gruver’s death. ULL Dean of Students Margarita Perez says more people are coming forward to report hazing and she hopes these students can find other ways to bond with the fraternity…:

In Gruver’s case, police reports indicate witnesses told authorities that the pledge, who had a .495 blood alcohol level at the time of death, was forced to drink more than other pledges because he kept messing up the Greek alphabet.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of an 8-month-old baby boy after being left in a car for a long period of time. A preliminary investigation determined that the child was unintentionally left inside the vehicle most of the day Wednesday.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation has received an additional 60-million-dollars from the federal government for highway projects. DOTD Secretary Shawn Wilson says as long as projects are ready to start, they get the matching funds…:

Former LSU head coach Les Miles will be on the field in Death Valley during The Bayou Bengals game against Auburn Saturday, along with members of the 2007 championship team.
