Shreveport Police say a man is dead and another hospitalized following a fight over a woman. They say during the altercation one of the men pulled a gun and a struggle to control the gun ensued and both men were shot. 20-year-old Ladarrius Lee died at a local hospital and 24-year-old Laderris Anderson was listed in critical condition, at last report. Investigators learned that the woman was in a relationship with each man and they confronted each other at her residence.

The Attorney General’s Office has some tips to keep online holiday shoppers secure. Assistant Attorney General Lisha Landry advises consumers to always pay by credit card rather than using money orders or debit because there is an added protection. She says make sure to keep records after making online purchases…

A UL-Lafayette Anthropologist is trying to find the burial grounds of the first Acadians in an effort to discover the location of their colony. Mark Rees says says they believe the colony was set up along Bayou Teche in Iberia Parish around Loreauville. Rees says they plan to exhume the graves that possibly belong to the first Acadians, but says they are approaching this in a cautious way…

He says finding the graves is just the first step in finding the settlement that must be nearby.
