A study from 24/7 Wall Street shows Louisiana is home to four of the least healthy cities in the country. Hammond came in third on the list, Monroe ranked sixth, Shreveport-Bossier is ninth, and Alexandria came in at number 12. A heat advisory is in effect again today until 7pm. Temperatures throughout the region are expected to climb into the mid to upper 90s this afternoon, and combined with the high humidity, could bring the heat index anywhere from 105-110 degrees. Authorities are urging people to take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. They say after today we should see some relief from the heat as a cold front pushes creates cloud cover and the chance for the typical afternoon scattered showers.
