Louisiana State Treasurer John Kennedy has announced that he will run for the US Senate this year. The seat is being vacated by Senator David Vitter at the end of his current term. Kennedy joins fellow Republicans, Congressmen Charles Boustany and John Fleming, and former Congressman Joseph Cao in declaring their intent to run. Retired Air Force Colonel Rob Maness will officially announce his candidacy tomorrow.
