The Department of Health and Human Services says nearly 8 in 10 current Marketplace consumers can find coverage for $100 or less, taking into account any applicable tax credits.
State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Livingston Parish that has left two men dead. Authorities say as 50-year-old Lloyd Hutson of Jackson was trying to execute a right curve, his vehicle crossed the center line into the path of a car driven by 76-year-old Raymond Bender of Denham Springs. The two vehicles collided head-on. Neither man was wearing a seat belt and both suffered fatal injuries as a result. Officials say impariment is suspected on the part of Hutson.
