During the meeting, Edwards, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and state officials will discuss the state’s preparations for potential flooding in the New Orleans area.

Shreveport Representative Thomas Carmody has no plans to bring back a bill seeking to protect Confederate monuments as the controversial statues are coming down across the South. He feels we should respect the views of others:

The Shreveport Police Department says all suspects wanted in the rape case involving the rapper Mystikal are now in custody. His real name is Michael Tyler, 46 of Prairieville. He and another man are charged with one count of first degree rape stemming from the October 2016 incident. Tenichia Wafford surrendered yesterday on a one count of accessory after the fact to first degree rape charge.
