State Police say an Alexandria man is dead after a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Jefferson Davis Parish. Authorities say 62-year-old Donald Stanfield failed to negotiate a right turn onto an exit ramp on I-10. The motorcycle traveled off the roadway and struck a sign, ejecting Stanfield. Stanfield, who was wearing an approved helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is promoting their Catch and Cook Program that allows anglers to bring their catch to a local restaurant to be prepared by a chef. Franklin Senator Bret Allain says it doesn’t cost a restaurant anything to participate in the program and they can charge the guest any amount they choose for the prepared dish.
