The Lake Charles Police Department says they’ve arrested a homeless man in the beating death of another man. They say 29-year-old Anthony Massingill, with no last known address, is booked for 1st degree murder with one million dollars bond, in the death of 68-year-old Keith Reynaud who suffered blunt force trauma.

Members of Louisiana’s Congressional delegation and the governor toured Denham Springs with HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson Monday. Carson said he’s pleased with how the recovery dollars are being spent so far, and believes as a nation we can grow and improve from the experiences in Louisiana.
