US Representative Charles Boustany says allegations that he was involved with prostitutes who were killed in Jefferson Davis Parish are false and hurtful. And Boustany says operatives working for State Treasurer John Kennedy are spreading these lies. The accusations are published in a new book about the murders. A spokesperson for the Kennedy campaign says the book speaks for itself.
LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center is working with the US Department of Defense on a study that seeks to improve a soldier’s endurance. Dr. Jennifer Rood is the principal investigator. She says soldiers involved in intense military operations only get half of the daily recommendation of calories, which leads to under performance….
