The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office says the body armor clad suspects they were chasing in a car that was allegedly stolen early Thursday morning were going about 100 miles per hour when they struck a tree leaving three occupants dead. One of the suspects is in critical condition. The matter remains under investigation.

In the latest survey of small business owners, finding good workers still remains their biggest issue. National Federation of Independent Business director Dawn McVea says 42 percent of owners report job openings are hard to fill, but their optimism is gradually rising..
