Hodges says her bill would NOT make the Pledge compulsory, but would demand schools at least offer the time to recite it.
Ascension Parish state Rep. Kathy Edmonston breaks her silence after her DWI arrest earlier this week. State Police say her sobriety came into question after she rear-ended a vehicle. She reportedly blew a .143 breathalyzer result; nearly twice the legal limit. In a written statement, Edmonston calls the arrest a “wake up call” and asks forgiveness from her constituents.
