A couple from Bethany is under arrest after allegedly failing to report serious injuries to a 15-month old child for nearly 42 hours. The Caddo Parish Sherriff’s office says 27-year-old Jeffrey Noble and 26-year-old Stephanie File-Malone told deputies the child was in the lap or Noble when the suspect fell asleep then dropped the toddle. Spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says both are charged with cruelty to a juvenile…:

She says the girl suffered severe bruising and swelling of her head.

Authorities say two students at Central High School were sent to the hospital Monday from class after apparently ingesting synthetic marijuana in the bath room. They say the boys, aged 17 and 18, went back to class and starting having issues. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office last said they were still waiting to talk to the boys at the hospital.

Police in Tallulah say a 3-year-old little boy is dead after he accidentally got his hands on a loaded handgun and shot himself. They say Dart Turner’s mother had left the house for just a very short time and when she returned she found him dead of a gunshot wound. Police say preliminary reports indicates this was in fact an accident. The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office is also investigating.
