Students in Livingston Parish are headed back to school today, some this morning and some head out this afternoon. 6 schools were unable to open due to flood damage and are sharing space at other locations. Livingston Parish Superintendent Rick Wentzel says every school flooded there and the fact that most are reopening is a major milestone in recovery…:

Governor John Bel Edwards along with the Delta Regional Authority are set this morning to unveil a series of new economic investments coming to Louisiana, according to a release from the DRA. The group is a federal-state partnership created by Congress in 2000 to help create jobs, build communities, and improve lives through strategic investments in economic development in 252 counties and parishes across eight states.
