The active Hurricane Season has kept gas prices unusually high this time of year, and it remains true in the wake of Hurricane Nate. But AAA Fuel Analyst Don Redman says any increase in prices we see will be short lived:

Diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Cuba, are declining, and Ag Commissioner Mike Strain hopes those can be restored soon. He says if the trade embargo with Cuba is lifted it could mean millions of dollars for the state and the ag industry…:

State Police is investigating a fatal crash on I-10 eastbound near Butte La Rose in St. Martin Parish, where an 18-wheeler was engulfed in flames this morning. Officials confirmed one person was killed in the fiery crash. Traffic is still being diverted to I-49 Northbound, then to US 190 East. Troopers are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible, while emergency crews work to clear the scene as quickly and safely as possible.
