LSU political research director Michael Henderson says the negative campaigning is going to ramp up over the next few weeks as will the knocking on doors. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says a woman is under arrest on animal cruelty charges for allegedly trying to throw puppies away. Lt. Tommy Carnline says deputies responded and made contact with 31-year-old Christie Lasyone of Ball and discovered she had an outstanding contempt of court warrant on her…

Lasyone is charged with three counts of cruelty to animals. The puppies were returned to their owner.

The Louisiana Democratic party is bashing Governor Bobby Jindal over his speech yesterday at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington D.C. calling for a strengthening of the US military. Jindal is in South Carolina today to give a similar speech and Chairwoman Senator Karen Carter Peterson says these travel habits are extremely disappointing…
