State Police say a trooper was involved in a shooting in Jefferson Parish last night. They say during a traffic stop, shots were fired and a suspect transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. LSP says no troopers were injured in the incident.

A popular tiger at a truck stop in Grosse Tete has been euthanized due to medical issues. According to a spokesman for the Tiger Truck Stop, Tony the Tiger was put down Monday due to kidney failure. Tony was 17-years-old, and had been at the truck stop since January of 2001.
