The state’s Attorney General’s Office will take legal action to try to stop the disposal of a Dallas Ebola victim’s incinerated personal belongings in a Louisiana landfill. A reported six truckloads of potential Ebola contaminated material collected from Thomas Duncan’s apartment were incinerated Friday and scheduled to be transported to a Calcasieu Parish hazardous waste landfill for final disposal. The AG’s Office plans to file for a temporary restraining order this morning.

A Louisiana State Police Sergeant, who caused a crash on Interstate 10 early Saturday morning, faces charges of DWI and hit and run. State Police Captain Doug Cain says 34-year-old Damien Dyson Sr of Baton Rouge’s blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit. He says the driver of the vehicle that Dyson hit, survived the crash despite his vehicle ending up on its roof….

Dyson was booked into the Ascension Parish jail and immediately placed on administrative leave.

A cold front will move through the state today, bringing us more fall like weather. State Climatologist Barry Keim says this front will give us high temperatures in the 70s across the state tomorrow…

Keim says before the cooler temperatures we’ll get rain and there’s the potential of severe weather today. A Tornado Watch is in effect for north Louisiana until 2 o’clock this afternoon.
