Tomorrow is the final day to early vote for the November 18th election. Secretary of State Tom Schedler says turnout so far is about 10-percent, which exceeded his expectations. But he says about 69-percent of voters in the Bayou State cast a ballot last year in the presidential election:

Authorities are refuting a WBRZ-TV report that a 13-year-old child was raped by an inmate in a bathroom during last month’s Angola Rodeo. They did admit that the minor and prisoner were in a bathroom together, but didn’t reveal why as the investigation continues. Angola Warden Darrel Vannoy is upset that WBRZ accused him of covering up a rape…:

Officials say DNA testing determined no sexual contact occurred between the minor and prisoner.
