On mostly a party line vote, House lawmakers passed a GOP created budget for next year and it now heads to the Senate for consideration. Republicans want to reduce spending to avoid midyear cuts and fully fund TOPS, and under HB1 the Department of Health is funded 237 million dollars less than the governor proposed.
