A job fair is taking place in Terrebonne Parish today for oil and gas industry workers, as unemployment in that sector continues to rise. President and CEO of the South Louisiana Economic Council, Vic LaFonte, says although the bayou region is seeing job losses, there are employment opportunities in other parts of the state…:

A 33-year-old man from Luling is facing animal cruelty charges for allegedly shooting his neighbor’s 9-month-old cat named Max with a bow and arrow. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office says Cody Dupre was arrested and bail was set at $30,000. They say thankfully vets were able to remove the arrow and it did not hit any of Max’s vital organs.

A 15-year-old boy is under arrest in connection with one of two homicide investigations in Natalbany. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says two men were located dead on June 2nd, then another man was found killed the following day. Spokesperson Dawn Panepinto says it appears to be related to a robbery gone wrong…:
