There has been a recent rash of child drownings in southeast Louisiana, and state officials are issuing reminders when it comes to kids being around water. State Police is investigating an officer involved shooting in Mamou. Details are limited at this time, but reports indicate an Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Deputy was injured and transported to a local hospital, and one person is dead. More on this as it develops.
