Baton Rouge is reeling today over the police shootings Sunday that claimed the lives of 3 law enforcement officers, and injured 3 others. It was one of the most tragic days in Louisiana history. State Police Colonel Mike Edmonson says federal, state and local enforcement are investigating why this tragic shooting occurred…:

They believe the deceased shooter, 29-year-old Gavin Long of Kansas City, Missouri, was out to specifically target and ambush these officers. Edmonson says there is not an active search for additional shooters…:

One sheriff’s deputy is expected to recover, and another is in critical condition. Officers 41-year-old Matthew Gerald and 32 year old Montrell Jackson from BRPD died. The Deputy who died is 45-year-old Brad Garafola.
