It was one year ago this morning that three unsuspecting officers lost their lives, and three others were injured, one critically, in an ambush on Baton Rouge cops. BRPD Chief Carl Dabadie has a message for the families whose lives forever changed 12 months ago…:

The officers leave behind three wives, and eight children among them.

State officials will be going door-to-door in flooded neighborhoods today to visit those who have not filled out the Restore Louisiana survey. Pat Forbes with the Office of Community Development says the survey is the first step for flood victims to receive federal flood recovery dollars:
