The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s office has arrested 43-year-old Belinda Roberts of Haughton for abusing her 72-year-old wheel chair bound mother. Spokesperson, Lt. Bill Davis, says Roberts abused her mother in various ways, including striking her in the head, twisting her nose, and poking her in the chest…

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal double shooting in the Robeline community. They say when Robeline Police responded to a welfare concern call, they found two gunshot victims inside the home. The 30-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old female victim was airlifted to an Alexandria hospital where, at last report, she was listed in critical condition. Authorities say there was no sign of forced entry and a gun was found at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
