The US Department of Health and Human Services reports over 126,000 Louisianians have signed up for health insurance, so far, through the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Open enrollment continues on the federal marketplace until February 15th. Last year, about 102,000 Louisiana residents signed up for heath insurance under the government subsidized private insurance program.

A BYU and Cornell University study shows that if kids are served lunch at school after recess they are more likely to eat fruits and vegetables. Study authors feel that students are not only hungrier after recess, but they feel less rushed to finish lunch in order to maximize playtime.
