The Pineville-based utility company Cleco announces CEO Darren Olagues has resigned his position. The board has selected its chair, Peggy Scott, to assume the role of Interim CEO during what’s expected to be a year long search for a permanent replacement. Olagues was arrested for domestic abuse strangulation by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office in December of last year.
