A recent study by WalletHub shows Louisiana is the 7th worst state for women’s equality. The study ranked Louisiana 49th in the gender gap for political representation, as well as the gender pay gap. The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teenager in connection with a stabbing death. When officers arrived on the scene in Mansfield, they found Yolanda Hunter suffering from stab wounds. Hunter was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities determined that a 15-year-old male relative was responsible. The juvenile was located and arrested without incident. His name has not been released.
