Baton Rouge has become the latest area of the state to impose a ban on smoking in bars and casinos. The East Baton Rouge Parish Metro council voted on the ordinance last night and it passed on a 7-5 vote. The smoke-free ordinance will not take effect until June of next year, and it does not include cities like Zachary, Baker and Central.
