State Police has arrested a Breaux Bridge police officer on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Authorities say Breaux Bridge Police Chief Rollie Cantu contacted LSU detectives about alleged sexual misconduct with a 16-year-old juvenile by one of his officers. The investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Craig David.

The state transportation department says the major I-20 overlay project in Webster Parish is running ahead of schedule and could be completed around Thanksgiving.
