A Baton Rouge man get life in prison for kidnapping and torturing a man in 2017. Almoine Powell was convicted of abducting & tying the victim up, pepper spraying him, waterboarding him, burning him with various objects and sodomizing him with a screwdriver. The judge said he HOPES those are THE worst things Powell has ever done.

A multi-jurisdictional task force says they’ve made a major drug bust in central Louisiana. The Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force says they worked in cooperation with the Rapides Parish and Grant Parish Sheriffs Offices to take over 8 pounds of suspected meth off the streets. Two people – a 37 year old man and a 35 year old woman were arrested in connection with the seizure.
