Rough night in northwest Louisiana as the cold front moves through and brings with it a line of thunderstorms that leaves thousands without power and wind damage throughout the region. Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Shreveport say a tree fell on a mobile home in Bossier Parish and another on a car in Shreveport. There are no reports of injuries. SWEPCO says many of its customers are in the dark in Caddo Parish, Bossier Parish, Sabine Parish and Natchitoches Parish.

The two teachers from Destrehan High charged with allegeldy having group sex with a then 16-year-old student have posted bond and been released from custody. Kenner Police report 32-year-old Shelly Dufresne and 24-year-old Rachel Respess left jail on $7,000 cash bonds. The women were booked for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
New Orleans:
Firefighters in New Orleans say a tanker truck exploded at a gas station around 4am and the driver was killed. Authorities are not releasing the name of the victim at this time and no other injuries were reporter. Some homes in the area near the St. Roch neighborhood were evacuated but residents were allowed to go back home before 6am.
