The November elections are a little more than three weeks away and voters have yet to see or hear a commercial from Former Governor Edwin Edwards in the sixth district Congressional race. Political Analyst Bernie Pinsonat says voters already know Edwards and he doesn’t have to spend money on TV spots to garner name recognition. Sabine Parish authorities say a 10-month-old girl is recovering at a local hospital after spending up to three days trapped under her father’s dead body. Officials believe the child’s father, 43-year-old Jason Fields of Pleasant Hill, who had a history of cardiac problems, fell backward off of his bed and died instantly, falling on top of his daughter. They say little Betty Jean Fields was found dehydrated and with blistering skin.
