A shooting inside The Grand movie theater in Lafayette has left three people dead and nine others injured. Lafayette Police Chief Jim Craft identifies the shooter as 59-year-old John Russel Houser of Phenix City, AL. He says Houser has been in Lafayette since early July. The two deceased victims have been identified as 21-year-old Mayci Breaux and 33-year old Jillian Johnson. Craft says they are working to determine the motive of the shooter…

Emergency crews from throughout the state say they’ve responded to hundreds of calls about children locked in cars this summer.
