The C-D-C is reporting a widespread outbreak of flu cases in Louisiana. The bayou state is the only state in the Continental US with widespread cases. Health officials are urging Louisiana residents to get their flu shot, if you haven’t already.
Parents who have teen drivers that get a learning permit will receive a booklet that will provide information and lessons on driving basics and parental pointers for the new driver in their household. It’s part of the new “Parents Supervised Driving Program.” Last year 189 teen drivers were killed in crashes across Louisiana. State Police Sergeant Nick Manale is hopeful this new program will decrease those numbers….

The Ragin Cajuns have accepted an official invite to the R-and-L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. It’s the fourth straight year that U-L Lafayette will play in the bowl game.
