A St. Tammany home health care worker is under arrest for murder. Parish deputies say 48-yr-old John Jenkins allegedly heavily drugged his 37-yr-old victim and sexually assaulted her both before and after she died. Calling it one of the most disturbing cases they’ve ever seen, officers are now following evidence that may lead to other crimes and other victims.

Today in Ascension Parish, LSU will hold an Active Threat Integrated Response Course for Counter-Terrorist Education Instructors. These instructors work with local law enforcement and first responders on how to provide care during active shooter incidents. Spokesperson Kris Wartelle…
