Saints left tackle Terron Armstead says he is going to try and play this Sunday against the Chiefs. Armstead has been out with a knee injury and hasn’t played since week two, and the Saints are especially thin at that tackle spot with Andrus Peat going down in the first half of the game last week against the Panthers. New Orleans is looking to run their record to 3-3.
Louisiana Tech takes its high powered offense to Miami tomorrow where they’ll face the F-I-U Panthers in a Conference USA contest. Both teams have won three in a row, but the Bulldogs have averaged 56 points a game in their last two contests. In the NBA, the Pelicans final preseason game was a heartbreaker last night as the team blew a 23 point lead, and eventually fell 114-111 to the Orlando Magic in overtime at Amway Center. It’s the fifth loss in a row for the Pels. Anthony Davis returned and finished with 33 points and 13 rebounds. The Pelicans will open the 2016-17 season at home against the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 26.
